What's New in Fifth Grade?

 

 

January: We have a student teacher, Mr. Maxwell, who will be with us for the next five weeks.

Grade 5-8 will be having Midterms this month

We are currently reading Bud, Not Buddy, which takes place during the Great Depression.

Reading-Writing-Grammar: Continue using our new skills we learn in class to apply cross curricular activities.

We will be reviewing for the Math Midterm all week!

Field Trip to Burke Catholic in Goshen is scheduled for January 27th, for a School House Rock show. We use School House Rock in our curriculum, so we are very excited to see this!

Catholic Schools week begins the last week of January. Can't wait to see the Talent Show, Who Wants to be a Millionare, ect..

Fourth graders have challenged us! We are going to be keeping track of our independent books that we read. More details to come!

End of the 2nd Quarter is February 2nd! We are almost half way through the year!

We are looking forward to the Spring! We worked with college students during Poetry Month last year. We read a wonderful book and did a culminating activity at the library in the college. Can't wait to see what they have planned for us this year!
