Supply List

First Grade Supply List 2011-2012

Please label with child's name:

2 PLASTIC two pocket folders:  Plastic is more sturdy for daily use.

1 supply box (standard size approx. 8"x 5"x 2", keep to this size for ease of storage)

1 box of crayons (24 pack)

1 Mead Primary Composition Early Creative Writing Tablet Stage 3 (Composition Book)

Items that will be shared and should not be labeled:

1 Expo Fine-Tip Dry Erase Markers 4-pk.  (Skinny markers are easier for children to use)

2 boxes of standard No. 2 pencils (Yellow only, sharpened please)**

4 boxes of tissues**

2 containers of disinfecting wipes**

Students with last names starting A-L:  1 pack of napkins**

Students with last names starting M-Z:  1 pack of plastic spoons**

**These items will need to be replenished throughout the year, notice will be sent out when more are needed.  Thank you in advance!

We have a “Good Behavior Lottery” each day.  Children earn tickets when they are caught “being good”.  One child wins the lottery each day.   He or she chooses something from our small prize jar.

Students will also have sticker charts to help monitor behavior in school.  Once a sticker chart is full the students will pick an item from the class treasure basket.  I would like each family to donate eight items to our classroom treasure basket.  Dollar store/Target dollar bin items are great choices.  Please choose prizes that are “age appropriate” for school.  Err on the side of caution, if it is an item you do not want your child to have, then it is best to choose something else.  I hope you have a safe and enjoyable summer!  All items on the list can be found at Target, including the appropriate sized supply box.  Please stick to this list.  No extra items should be sent in.  Thank you very much!
