February 4 -Bishop Dunn will host St. Peter's of Poughkeepsie in two scheduled basketball games today at St. Mary's gym. The JV Girls will play at 10 a.m., and the Varsity Boys will play at 11:30 a.m. For more information about our sports program CLICK HERE.

Re: Basketball, Cheerleading Practices
Most of the practice schedules for our basketball and cheerleading teams have now been set. They are listed below. Since they are subject to change, please check this site regularly and also check the homepage listing of Upcoming Events.
PRACTICE SCHEDULES
JV CHEERLEADERS: Mondays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
VARSITY CHEERLEADERS: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m.
JV BOYS BASKETBALL: Mondays, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Bishop Dunn and Fridays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at St. Mary's gym.
VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL: Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning October 19th, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at St. Mary's gym (unless announced otherwise on this website homepage).
JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: Wednesdays and Fridays from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Re: Basketball uniform orders
We will be using the same uniform again this year, so if you already have one that still fits, you do not need to order another.
If your child plans to play on one of our basketball teams this year, and need to order a uniform, please complete the form below and return it with the payment, made out to Bishop Dunn Memorial School, by Monday, October 5th, at the latest. We will also be collecting a $10 participation fee this year to help defray the cost of insurance and referee fees. You can submit that fee with your uniform order or wait for it to be collected once practices start.

CHECK WEB FOR SCHEDULES: It is strongly suggested that you check the extracurricular/sports link on our website www.bdms.org regularly in the coming weeks for information about the start of practice for each of the teams.
PHYSICAL EXAM REMINDER: Please remember that any students who want to participate on our teams, must have had a physical exam within the last six months. Students will not be allowed to play in games, which are scheduled to begin in early November, if we do not have an updated physical on file at school.

RE: Orange County Catholic School Soccer League
I am pleased to report that Bishop Dunn will be participating in the Orange County Catholic School Soccer League again this Fall. The Junior Varsity team is open to 4th, 5th and 6th graders, and the Varsity is for 7th and 8th graders. Check this page later this week for information about the next practice and game schedules. In the meantime, if you have not sent in the form below yet, please do so as soon as possible. If your child played in the league last spring he or she does not have to purchase a new uniform, but you do need to pay the $55 participation fee, which covers the cost of insurance, and referee and field use fees.
