Welcome to the Pre-K.

Philosophy: Our goal is to create a caring and positive atmosphere, a place that will guide the children to develop a good self-image while building emotional and social skills in a school setting.

We believe every child is unique and there is a way to reach every child!

Our Program
Language, math, social studies, science, religion, sensory, motor and perceptual skills are introduced through materials and activities which are child-centered, age-appropriate, and teacher-directed. Work is planned which emphasizes the process rather than the product, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride.

The classroom is a literature-rich environment in which all areas of the curriculum are taught in units or themes. New York State ELA Standards, National Science Education Standards, National Council for the Social Studies, and guidelines of the NAEYC are sources for each subject area.

Based on the theory that children learn through play, classroom routines encourage active involvement, meaningful experimentation and reinforcement through repetition. Schedules are designed which balance structure and free choice, as well as active and quiet times throughout the day.

Recognizing that children grow in predictable stages, each child is treated as an individual, working from the level of skill each child has attained and moving forward only when the child is comfortable. Learning differences are acknowledged and children are encouraged to “reach for the stars.”

We hope each child will leave the Pre-K with a love of learning, a feeling that he/she is capable of problem solving, learning from his/her mistakes, and the understanding that God made each person an individual and He doesn’t make mistakes!

School is a partnership between home and the classroom!

Working together we will help your child have a successful, happy Pre-K year!
